Where is Aston University Green?
The green is at Aston University, Birmingham, B4 7BX. Between Coleshill Street and Aston Street. Also an entrance from James Watt Queensway.
In brief
The green was landscaped around 2014 after the completion of the Aston Student Village. Which included the new student accommodation blocks. There had already been a Lakeside area since at least the 1970s and 1980s. This was further developed following the demolition of Dalton, Lawrence and Stafford towers. All that remains is Aston University Library (with a new glass extension installed in the early 2010s). Followed by the new Students Union in 2019.

Development of Aston University Green
There had already been a Lakeside area at Aston University, well before the demolition of Dalton Tower, Lawrence Tower (in 2011) and Stafford Tower (in 2014).
Following the demolition of the final tower in 2014, the area was landscaped with a central area around the new halls of residence and is part of the Aston Student Village.
As of May 2021, William Murdoch Residences and James Watt Residences (completed in 2010), Mary Sturge Residences and Harriet Martineau Residences (completed in 2014), are being recladded as a response to the Grenfell Tower disaster in 2019, to replace flammable cladding.

Aston Students Union
The new Aston Students Union was built in 2018 and opened in 2019. Next to the sports pitch (what had previously been a surface car park). It is in view of the Chancellor's Lake. It is called the Sir Adrian Cadbury Building. The old Aston Students Union building was later demolished between 2019 and 2020.
