Sacks of Potatoes - details

Gosta Green was once an inner area of Birmingham, but is now home to Aston University, and various business and science parks.

The Sacks of Potatoes is a traditional public house, probably dating to the late 19th or early 20th centuries.

Next door was the former Delicia Cinema, which was converted into the EBRI Building (European Bioenergy Research Institute) during the early 2010s.

The Sacks of Potatoes is near the bend of Woodcock Street, which leads towards Lister Street.

The EBRI Building was completed in 2014 behind the pub.

The old Aston Students Union building was nearby, but it relocated to the other side of the campus in 2019.
