Nechells Outreach Centre is a body of Pentecostal believers whose purpose is to seek to know the heart of God by actively following his word. They pledge to bring the heart of God to the community through worship, ministry and outreach missions. It was formerly a Presbyterian chapel of 1888-9, now the Church of God of Prophecy.

Church of God of Prophecy - History

The Presbyterian Chapel was built on Long Acre between 1888 and 1889.

When Nechells Primary School got overcrowded in 1954, the Presbyterian church was used for additional accommodation.

The Presbyterian Church of England merged with the Congregational Church to form the United Reformed Church in 1972.

Today it is a Church of God of Prophecy, this was founded in Cleveland, Tennessee in the USA in 1903, but has origins in 1886, there are churches now worldwide with this name.
